In our dreamworld we were looking for a Frank Sinatra type lounge band for 2 hours over dinner and a DJ for the remainder of the evening. We really didn't have much money to work with here so I anticipated we would end up with an ipod reception. I came across this amazing website www.gigmasters.com where I inputed my date and how much I had to spend and within an hour literally 7 bands came forward. One mentioned they could provide DJ services as well. We ended up signing Swing Assembly www.swingassembly.com a twelve piece swing band (2 of which are vocalists) that will switch to DJing around 9:30. We could not be more excited. Both on gigmasters and through them directly we have been provided references and samples of their live music (we are out of state and can't see them live first). They provided us more than 2000 songs that they can perform with the band and have been very open on the DJ music. UPDATE: They were amazing and actually were hired by two other friend of ours to play at their weddings.

PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEO
We decided against doing a professional videographer for our wedding cause we knew a ton of people would end up sending us copies of what they taped. This was a good decision cause we have about 6 versions.
We hired Jolie Images in Wheeling, IL for photography and they did a pretty good job. Our photographer worked his butt off and we got about 1500 pictures. FOr the price we definitely got our moneys worth, but I do wish I had asked him to get a few more shots around the dinner tables at the wedding.
