Inspiration for Bride and Grooms Chairs
Instead of doing a head table we will be doing a sweetheart table. To my FH and my seats we will be tying a half dozen peacock feathers into the bow of the chair sashes.
The chairs at our venue are pretty hideous and I couldn't imagine having to be reminded of them in our wedding photos, so we are having the chairs covered with white chair covers and purple chair sashes.
Cake Topper
We couldn't find a caketopper that had our personalities so we made ours out of two champagne corks and the cork holders. We got engaged at a vineyard so it kinda had some sentimental value there as well.
Here is a quick sample we did at home of our centerpieces. We are using 3 cylinder vases with an LED light in the bottom of each, covered with purple gemstones, a few palm leaves wrapped and submerged in water, topped off with a 2.5" floating candle. A few remaining purple gemstones will decorate the remainder of the table. We will also have three votive candles in clear holders surrounding the centerpieces. These are supplied by our vendors so the ones you see in the photo are really just placeholders. We are playing around with the idea of adding a mirror underneath.
The chargers that our reception area offered had a little too much going on on them (a marbelized design around the outside plus an ad for the zoo in the center). We decided to replace these with the gold chargers pictured to the left.
We will be using this birdcage for cards. We plan to add some peacock feathers for design to the outside of it. I bought it on ebay cause I loved the little stand.

Picked up a bunch of large lanterns from another knottie to decorate our ceiling. We have about 50 irregular wired lanterns in white since the ceiling at our venue is black.
